The Organix Recycling Program has successfully diverted 1,027,795 pounds of food waste from landfills,

making a significant impact on reducing waste and generating a recipe for a better future. 

 

PLASTIC

1,095,615 LBS

Through recycling efforts, 1,095,615 pounds of plastic have been successfully recycled, preventing them from ending up in landfills where they can harm the environment. 

Additionally, the program has successfully kept many  electronic devices out of landfills, reducing electronic waste and promoting responsible disposal practices.

 

PLASTIC BAGS

1,095,615 LBS

Furthermore, an astounding 99,623,000 plastic bags have been kept out of circulation through efforts to reduce plastic bag usage and promote environmentally friendly alternatives. 

Additionally, the program has successfully kept many  electronic devices out of landfills, reducing electronic waste and promoting responsible disposal practices.

 

LED LIGHTING 

6 STORES

In an effort to reduce energy consumption and promote energy-efficient practices, six stores have received retrofit LED lighting as part of the sustainability initiatives. This switch to LED lighting not only reduces energy usage but also promotes long-term cost savings and can have some environmental benefits.

CARDBOARD 

16,740.17 TONS

Cardboard recycling efforts have resulted in an impressive 16,740.17 tons of cardboard being recycled, contributing to the reduction of landfill waste and promoting friendly waste management practices.

YELLOW GREASE 

298,882

The program has also made significant strides in collecting and repurposing yellow grease, with a total of 409,657 pounds of yellow grease collected and sold for biofuel.

PALLETS

In addition to these achievements, the program has successfully sold 298,882 excess wood pallets for reuse, preventing them from becoming waste and promoting a circular economy approach to resource management. These efforts have contributed to reducing waste, creating a recipe for change, and creating a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
