July 18, 2007 - Albertson’s LLC Announces Commitment to Trans-fat Free Oil
Company to use Trans-fat Free Oil in Service Deli
Boise, ID—Albertson’s LLC announced today that all of the company’s Service Deli departments have begun using oil which is free of trans-fats.
“At Albertson’s the security and freshness of our products is our highest priority. We are continuously exploring new methods of providing our customers healthy products for themselves and their families,” explained Bob Miller, chief executive officer of Albertson’s LLC.
During August, all of Albertson’s LLC’s service delis will begin using non-hydrogenated, canola cooking oil which is trans-fat free. That means that all hot foods provided in Albertson’s stores will be free from trans-fats, including the popular Signature Fried Chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and crispy wings.
Quality assurance and freshness have always been a priority at Albertsons, and in recent weeks the company has taken this commitment to new levels in the industry. Earlier this summer the company announced that it now tracks the temperature of all products moved into Albertsons warehouses, to insure the quality of the fresh products in every store. And as a courtesy to our customers, Albertson’s has now made all potentially hazardous product recall information available online.
“As the products and technology become available, Albertsons will continue to make operational changes that provide our shoppers the freshest and safest food in the industry. Customer confidence in Albertsons stores means a great deal to us,” continued Miller.
All of Albertson’s LLC stores operate under a product guarantee policy. If a customer is not satisfied with a product for whatever reason, they can return it to one of our stores for a full refund.
Albertson’s LLC is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The company is privately owned and operates over 340 stores under the Albertson’s banner in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.
