Laura began her employment with Albertson’s in 1990, when she was hired as an attorney in the Labor Relations Department in Boise. She transferred to Texas in 1993 as an employment attorney and was subsequently promoted to Director and then Vice President of Southern Region Employee Relations. She left the company in 2004, while working as DFW Division Vice President of Human Resources, and was rehired into her former position after Albertsons, Inc. was sold in June 2006.
Laura has a Bachelor of Social Work and Juris Doctor degrees from Arizona State University. She is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. In Laura’s view, her job is to give store level managers and hourly associates tools and training so they can perform their jobs well and solve their problems with as little involvement from the office as possible; to provide compensation, recognition and incentive programs to motivate and engage all levels of associates; and to provide workplaces where associates have FUN serving our customers.
